Frequently Asked Questions
Of course, however, big software names often just turn you into a data-entry clerk for your accountant; you spend hours doing the "donkey work" and paying high subscription fees, yet these platforms don't actually offer the trade-specific advice needed to reduce your end tax bill. While they help you record data, they don't stop accountants from charging you two or three times last year's fee to review it, whereas Susstax is designed to save you money through actual tax education and lower subscription & filing costs.
Yes. Susstax is designed to handle digital record-keeping for income and expenses in an acceptable format for HMRC submission. Whether you are filing yourself using our recommended bridging software or sending reports to your own accountant, we ensure your records meet the digital requirements.
Under MTD, you have to report your income and expenses every three months (quarterly). For most, the first quarterly filing period runs from 6th April 2026 to 5th July 2026, with the submission due by 7th August. We provide a menu of low-cost reports to make these regular submissions effortless.

Susstax works at your pace, allowing you to enter items daily, weekly, or in batches whenever you have a spare moment. You can even delegate the task to a family member to help you get caught up.
Susstax is a simple, low-cost MTD solution made by people in the trade, for people in the trade. We provide a platform where account preparation is free forever, helping you avoid the "money pit" of traditional accounting software and the 100+ hours of admin usually lost to tax prep.
Yes. Susstax is built for your lifestyle and works seamlessly on any smartphone, tablet, or laptop. There's no need to install complex software or change your banking—just log in and manage your records on whichever device is closest to you at the time.
